Because I keep a better journal on dA than I do in my actual journal, I suppose I'll upload my Girls' Camp trip here.

It all started with meeting at the church, where I sat around for a long time because if you say to be somewhere at 8:00 in Utah, you're lucky to get people showing up at 8:30 but I have an obsession with being anywhere I need to be ten minutes before the call time. So yeah... lots of sitting around for me.
Then it turned out Sis. Hodson isn't coming because she's possibly moving and so I had to run to her house and tell her not to go anywhere. D: She doesn't want to, but it depends I guess. Cross your fingers that people buy her new house, not the one she's in right now. >.>
Anyways, so when I got back I rode up with Bro. Hauz and off we went... a good five-hour drive to Flaming Gorge (stops included). I hate car rides, and what made it worse was that I forgot to charge the batteries of my mp3 so most of it was made without my music. D: Music devices aren't allowed at camp, but no-one can stop me from listening in the car.
Except batteries. Oh well... I survived that at least.
So. Our camp was right next to this giant resovoir that passes through Utah and Wyoming, and yet there was no water. It was like being down in Moab, except drier and with more 'clicky-bugs' (saying cicada is apparently too much work for the girls at camp). There wasn't even a water pump at our camp, we had to walk over to the next one to get some. And the toilet was basically this hole in the ground with some rickety walls around it. xD Most of the girls in camp were willing to hike a quarter-mile or so (and they complained the whole way, even though it's not that far) to use better bathrooms (also at a different camp).
So, that was fun. I went to the better bathrooms once but decided it wasn't really worth my time and used the pot one. Me and Aileen... we're not afraid of bad smells like everyone else was. xD We're more lazy than hygienic or something.
It took forever to get the tent up. I go camping a lot and know how to set up tents, but when I have a bunch of girls shouting orders at me it gets harder. o.O Kiley went a little crazy hammering in the stakes too. At least no-one had to worry our tent was going to blow away... xP
Later I found this shed skin of some sort of bug nymph (cicada, grasshopper... something like that) and carried it around camp and scared people with it. xD I showed it to Katy and she was like "Oh my gosh, don't touch that! It'll give you rabies!" Danica kept asking me how I caught it... I was like "Uh, it's a shed skin. I just picked it up." "Then how'd you catch it?"
Well, along with bringing about a lot of funny quotes, I had great fun scaring people with it but finally one of the girls got too disturbed and smashed it. D: I still kept its little front claws though, because they were too awesome. They're on display on my special stuff shelf. XD
Dinner was good, although the food was (not surprisingly) a little dry. I ate it anyways and just drank lots of lemonade in accompaniment.
The first night was pure torture. We were all excited and talked until about midnight, but I'm not a night bird and by then wanted to go to sleep. (Actually, I had for a while but was having too much fun throwing candy at people to really realize it.) But Danica and Katy (I swear they're lezbian... x.o) were making a lot of noise massaging/licking each other and whining about the lack of cell-phone service. I don't even have a cell phone and I still survive.
So even after a basically sleepless night, I woke up early, got dressed and headed outside. Instead of helping with breakfast I sat around and drew pictures of everyone as they woke up... hahah, my sketchbook is full of sleepy peoples. Or at least it was. Most of the people claimed everything I drew of them and I suspect they've all been burned now.
Breakfast was yummy, and then afterwards we packed up some lunches and went on a hike. This hike was supposed to be about three miles, but we took a wrong turn and it ended up being about ten. xD I brought my sketchbook on this too, and so me and Aileen ended up at the back of the group pretty quickly because I had to keep stopping to sketch the beautiful view. Most of those drawings have been given away to people now too, but I kept one since it wasn't finished by the end up camp. :3
The hike was very pretty and not particularly tiring, for me at least (probably because I kept stopping to draw), so that was fun. Dinner was good too, although I can't remember what it was, I just remember liking it. xP That night we slept a lot better too, Danica and Katy had apparently exhausted themselves.
The third day for breakfast we had pancakes. I woke up early again and so helped mix up the batter (somehow Sis. Edwards was having issues even though all she had to do was pour water into the mix... o.O) and afterwards I was just standing around watching and Sis. Hadley comes over and shoves a pair of spatulas into my hands with the order "Cook the pancakes."
It was weird. So I had 'what the freak?' moment but then went and cooked the pancakes.... Apparently they were a success; the rest of the day I was getting comments about how tremendous they were and Sis. Hadley was like "I guess I chose the right person to put the spatulas in the hands of." xD Sis. Carlson wants to bring me with every time she goes camping because apparently I'm the only person she knows who can cook pancakes on a camp stove without burning them. I don't know how I did that but people liked my cooking so that was happy...
Later we decorated flip-flops and painted little treasure chests. Mine totally sucked because I couldn't get my hands on a thin paintbrush to paint what I wanted to do, so I just made it 'wild honey' with lig'carolina blue' stripes. Those colors don't go together at all, they just happened to catch my fancy. xP So my box was basically ugly.
After doing crafts we went river rafting down the Green River... seven miles, three hours... lots of fun. xD I've been officially named the YW Shark because I'm already infamous for swimming around whenever we do boating-type stuff and capsizing canoes, pulling people overboard, splashing everyone, or just frightening them. XD So this time I made it my goal to get Sis. Belnap in the water.
Finally there came a point where her raft came close enough to mine that I figured I could jump, grab the foot she was dangling over the edge of the boat, and drag her in. So I made to jump. This would have been the most tremendous leap of my entire life, except that the edge of the raft was wet and thus slick. I slipped and ended up falling headfirst into the water practically UNDER the boat. XP But I didn't give up, I tried to get to Sis. Belnap but when she realized what I was doing she jerked her foot inside.
So, I just clambered into her raft and pushed her over the edge later. XD It worked, if not how I planned. Sis. Jenson spent the rest of the ride huddled against the base of the boat because she was worried I was going to try and push her over too. That was fun.
That night we had yummy cheesy potatoes for dinner and I gorged on those and couldn't eat dessert, but oh well. It was the last night, so we had testimony meeting and a faith hike, then went to bed.
The next day we packed up. Like I said earlier, Kiley went a little crazy pounding in stakes so after breaking a few we finally got the tent out. A few stakes had to remain at camp, but oh well...
The drive home was pretty boring, except for when Sis. Carlson fell asleep because then Bro. Hauz would suddenly slam on the brakes and we'd all start screaming and scare her. xD We stopped for shakes on the way home too, those were very yummy. :3
Finally we got back but no-one was home at my house so I had to get a ride with someone to help get all my camp stuff and bring me home... my family came home a bit later and were all like 'Oh my gosh, she's home!'
Yeah... that was weird. They got new phones while I was gone and I really don't like them because their ring is too shrill. o.O
And that was my camp experience. :3 Hope you had fun wasting your time reading about it.

As I was sitting in my chair, I knew the bottom wasn't there. No legs or back, but I just sat. Ignoring little things like that.
